Micah 7:5-7 Do not trust in a friend; Do not put your confidence in a companion; Guard the doors of your mouth From her who lies in your bosom. For son dishonors father, Daughter rises against her mother, Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; A man's enemies are the men of his own household. Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.
In this sinful world we live in, I think one lesson we have all learned is that you can't completely trust in any one person. Everyone will let you down at some point or another. Much like you will let the people you love down. Who of us can say that our spouses, our children, our parents, our siblings, our best friends, have never done anything that upset us or disappointed us. These verses in Micah are a good reminder to us that there is only one person that can be trusted 100% of the time. Our savior, and our friend, Jesus Christ. He died for us, and we can trust him. He intercedes for us, and we can trust him. He loves us, and we can trust him. He watches over us, and we can trust him. He is a faithful friend! People will always let us down, and we should be mindful of not putting all our faith and trust in any person of this world, but to only trust the Lord entirely, He will never let us down. I've been serving him for almost 30 years now, and He has never yet, let me down!
If you are reading this, and you want to know more about having Jesus as your personal friend and savior, send me a message, or leave a comment, and I promise I will get back to you.
